Materials used for this class


Paper: A good quality watercolor paper 140 lb/300 gms. 

I use Strathmore Gemini 140lb cold press

Size 10.5x14.5 inches (30x42 centimeters)

It’s optional to prime the paper with gesso.


Tube and Fluid acrylic Colors:

Titanium White

Ivory black/Process black

Cadmium yellow medium

Yellow Ochre

Warm grey

Neutral grey

Transparent red iron oxide / red ochre


Good quality white gesso (optional for priming the paper)


Watercolor pencils: a black watercolor pencil

I use Woody by Stabilo (Alternatively water soluble crayons like for example Caran d’ache or other type or brand of watercolor pencils)


Brushes, 2 inch, 1 inch, 1/2 inch and a few smaller brushes. Mine are hog hair and synthetic brushes


Paper towels

Spray bottle with water

Masking tape (optional)
