How to get here The Danish Painter Studio is located near Flauenskjold, a small village in Vendsyssel, Denmark. The studio is situated in a rural area nestled in the middle of the hills and forests of Jyske Ås. I recommend arriving by car or a taxi to get here.

The Danish Painter Studio address: Kirkeskovvej 1A, Flauenskjold, 9330 Dronninglund, Denmark. Click here to see the location on Google Maps

The nearest towns are about 15 minutes away by car or taxi. The towns of Hjallerup and Dronninglund both have hotels and shops but Dronninglund is by far the most interesting one with treelined streets, parks, town squares and shopping areas as well as a beautiful castle.

Another option is the town of Sæby, which is a picturesque seaside village dating back to the Middle-ages and it has hotels and B&B's. Travel time from Sæby to my studio is approx. 25 minutes by car.

If you would like to stay in a large city then Aalborg is the place to stay. It has a wide range of well known hotels, B&B's and airbnb's.

The nearest airport is Aalborg Airport (AAL) 30 minutes away. They have a new hotel, The Airport Hotel, which might also be an option.

booking.com and airbnb have plenty of options, though you can often book cheaper by booking direct with local hotels.
